| Notes: 2 discs Disc One Part one: Faith Journey (45 min) - This program looks at the need of every human being to belong. It invites the parents to reflect on their personal faith journeys and on the nature of the commitment they will be making by requesting Baptism for their child. It also traces the history of the sacrament from the time of Jesus to the present day. Disc Two: Part Two: Symbols and the Rite of Baptism (41 min) This program explores the power and mening of symbols in our lives. Using a beauatiful dramatization of the Rite of Baptism for Children, Fr Scannell reveals the richness of the rite, its symbols and itd implications for the newly baptized. Part Three: Christian Parenting (43 min) This program, for use after Baptism, reflects on the beauties and responsibilities of Christian parenting, including ongoing religious formation. It empasized the process of initiation begun in Baptism and culminating in Eucharist. |
